We cannot accept responsibility for packages received without this basic information included.ĮADR can arrange a free collection for you using a recognised National Courier Service, however, this is a no frills, next working day service and as such offers tracking only and no liability insurance whatsoever and you fully understand that if accepted will be undertaken completely at your own risk. If you do not have access to a printer then we will require an absolute minimum of your name, address and contact details on a sheet of paper inside the box. Finally, please ensure that you have filled in and enclosed one of our shipping forms (available on our website). If you do use a recycled box, then any writing, address labels, bar codes or logos must be completely obscured with packing tape or permanent marker pen. The cardboard box should be plain and unmarked, apart from our address details. The object is to avoid the drive moving about in transit. The best way to do this is to wrap your item in plenty of bubble wrap, and place it in a small, suitably sized cardboard box for a snug fit. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the device being sent in for recovery is packaged securely and correctly. ![]() These guys know their stuff! More so than I think they, themselves, realize. If you are in need of ANY digital data recovery, EADR are an absolute godsend. I don't think Steve himself had any idea how much data he had successfully recovered. What they have done for me cannot be overstated, and I actually feel that they have undercharged me for the service. However, when I had the opportunity to view the recovered files, I can confidently say that a good 85-90% of all of the original data was completely restored (Over 460GB of data, restored). A couple of days later, I received a copy of the data that he had managed to recover from my Hard drive, stating that a very large majority of the data is unfortunately restorable. ![]() Possibly the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life.Steve Cook, one of the Directors of the company, and the (I assume) primary computer wiz, was initially very blunt and honest about the severity of my accident, and informed me not to get my hopes up in the slightest. I cannot clearly express how good a service this company has provided me with.I was an absolute fool, and had completely wiped my bitlocker encrypted external backup hard drive by complete accident. As experts in microsoldering, we can replace components on the controller board and recover your data for you. Not only does this connection need to be repaired, it may even damage the electrical components on the external hard drive. Broken connection – sometimes this occurs due to impact but can also be caused by trying to force an incorrect cable into the socket (you might see a bit of smoke in that instance too). In this situation EADR can assist with advanced repair of firmware modules to get that data back for you.ĥ. removing the cable abruptly whilst in use. Not being recognised in main computer – this can be for many reasons but we find that many are due to corruption and also incorrect use of the external hard drive, e.g. Liquid damage – Transferring documents whilst enjoying a coffee (or dare we say beer?) Accidental damage in this way is so common the key to successful data recovery for liquid damaged hard drives is acting fast before corrosion starts on the electronics of the external drive.Ĥ. ![]() Hard drives are very fragile, so if an external hard drive suffers an impact, you may require assistance in replacing heads or changing bearings.ģ. Impact – Many clients keep their external drives in their bag/holdall whilst travelling, which leaves them subject to being bumped. At EADR we have full clean chamber facilities and the latest tooling, meaning we can do this safely and efficiently.Ģ. ![]() Being dropped – it’s so easy to do a trip up, the hard drive falling off a table/sofa, being carried from room to room on top of your laptop…not to mention boisterous pets and excited youngsters getting caught up in cables! If your external hard drive is clicking or beeping and has been dropped, recovering the data may involve repair/replacement of internal components.
